There are 8 new projects to look out for in the next 7 days. A slow week in the crowdfunding landscape; but with some really impressive looking titles. I'm interested to see more of what
'Call of Duty: The Board Game' has to offer and how it will differentiate itself from other war games. I already love the theme and components presented in 'Meenakshi Temple' I'll definitely be backing this one.
As always, remember, back with your head, not your heart and most importantly, love your games.
Call of Duty: The Board Game brings the acclaimed Call of Duty experience to table-tops, immersing players in intense competitive combat. Play on authentic Call of Duty maps such as Shoot House or Standoff. Choose from operators like Ghost Riley or Captain Price. Select your favourite weapons and items. Build a custom combat deck with your signature tactics. Then, jump into the action.
Each round, make tough choices as you secretly and simultaneously plan your actions. Will you boldly engage the enemy head on? Or perhaps you can outmanoeuvre and sneak up on them? Maybe they are hiding in that building; throw a grenade in the window and find out! Or take a risk, and run for the flag to seize it.
After planning, the action unfolds with explosive surprises. Combat is quick and deadly, with intense tactical choices. Will you unload your magazine recklessly? Maybe you prefer to take the time to aim carefully? Or will you dodge and outmanoeuvre your foe? If you get eliminated, simply respawn immediately back into the action.
Want more? Combine both core sets for an unprecedented four-player experience. Expansions add new maps, operators, weapons, game modes, and more.
Shadowrun: Sprawl Ops is a competitive game for 2 to 4 players that can be played in 60 to 90 minutes. In this cyber-punk worker-placement game, each player controls a team of Shadow Runners that they can send on missions, loan to other players (for a fee, of course), and upgrade with new tech and equipment. Missions are resolved by rolling combinations of custom dice. A diverse team of Shadow Runners gives you access to more combinations of dice, and your upgrades add even more dice to your pool. Take on smaller missions to earn creds. Then, put those right back into more experienced runners, and better gear. Once you think you've got what it takes, send your runners out to attempt to collect one final score. If you fail, don't worry, your doc-wagon contracts will keep your runners in the game. The first player to successfully complete the final mission, and collect that last big score wins the game!
Alphabet Stoop is a turn-based, word building, tile placement game that is sure to deliver fun to your doorstep! Play as a parcel delivery person dropping off packages (letter tiles) on stoops and using them to spell words.

Drop off your packages on stoops and form words with newspapers (vowels), magazines (wild letters), and other packages (consonants). Be the first player to deliver all of your packages OR earn NINE Victory Points to secure your win! (1 point per Stoop Card you occupy and 1 point per Stamp you have).

In this fast-paced game, players are adventurers entering a cave full of monsters, using artefacts and magic to defeat as many of them as possible.
Each round, each player chooses an artefact to use, and can take turns playing magics to improve their artefacts or make their opponents' artefacts worse. At the end of the round, the player with the best artefact wins the monster currently in the cave, and each player chooses to complete their hand of cards or change their hand of cards completely.
A new monster is revealed and a number of rounds dependent on the number of players are held.
At the end of the game, each type of monster scores in a different way and whoever has the most points wins.

Converge: Catalysts of Change
Converge: Catalysts of Change features the sage Archivists, the resourceful Mechanists, and the experimental Alchemists. Archivists use their extensive library to Educate others, converting a goal into a team member. Mechanists can Scavenge almost anything, letting them turn a discarded card into a goal. The Alchemists are all about pushing the boundaries of science, which often results in team members getting Burned and discarded.
In Converge, players are competing to build the best team that meets the current goals, though goals and teams can shift with each play. So can control of the powerful artefact which gives an advantage to those who possess it.
Each round, players take turns to play a single card from their hand.
Every card has 2 parts: a character with a skillset, rank and special ability, and a goal, each of which has a star value for fulfilling its requirement. These goals apply to both players while the card is in the central area, with fulfilled goals remaining in play.
Cards can be discarded for their special ability, played to the player’s team to fulfil goals using its suit and value, or as a new shared goal.
At the end of the round, players count their current star value. The player with the most stars gains control of the artefact. If they already had control of the artefact, they win! If no player can secure victory by the time all cards have been played, then the player who holds the artefact is the winner.
Quibbles is a fast-paced and tactical card game that combines set-building and tactical decision-making. Quibbles offers quick and intense gameplay sessions lasting around 5 minutes per player. The rules are easy to learn and the gameplay quite addictive.

Meenakshi Temple is a three-dimensional action selection game in which players will be gradually constructing their own towers — breath-taking multi-level gates into the Hindu temple.
The players will use a total of 115 custom plastic Deity statues and secure the support of 5 Patron Deities (Meenakshi, Kali, Ganesha, Ganga, and Skanda) while trying to build their gopurams in the most efficient way.
On their turn, the player places their meeple on one of the available action slots and resolves the action. The stronger their action is, the later they will take their turn during the next round.
The game has five basic actions: constructing statues, placing a slab that would close the current tower’s level, receiving a blessing depending on the statues on the current level, upgrading your sheet, and gaining a white statue of Shiva.
By the end of the game, all players will have gorgeous constructions consisting of up to 6 levels high in front of them, and whoever scores the most victory points for their tower, secret goal and divine blessings win!
