Crowdfunding Round-up 1st August

All of these projects are Live now or due to release in the next 7days, over on Kickstarter or Gamefound. This week sees a few gems in the small game category, next to big war style gams and dungeon crawlers. I love the look of ATMA and any game that can give me a Dungeons and dragons feel in 2 hours must be a winner. Remember, back with your head and not your heart.

Welcome to a world near our own. The volcanic mineral atma empowers the living and entwines the dying, while artificial intelligence and alien titans join humanity in this daunting new century. Yet in the Restless Zones, beyond society and law, trouble lurks. Gather your fellow adventurers and prepare to test yourself against the world’s most dangerous frontiers. The sky’s getting darker…

Atma is a complete roleplaying game in a tiny package. It's portable, quick to set up and teach, and plays in just 2 hours — perfect for game nights or pop-up sessions! A Game Master and 1-4 players use illustrated tarot cards to fuel RPG gameplay focused on creativity and quick thinking. Atma excels as a tutorial for first-time GMs who've always wanted to run an RPG, while also allowing limitless creativity for roleplaying pros.

It's been a year since Leland Williams passed on. A year later, his family remembers his humor, warmth and – especially – his love of fishing.

You play a member of his family going out on a solo fishing trip. With a specific sporting goal in mind, you'll recall lessons and memories from Leland. If you piece together the lessons in just the right order, you'll have a great day on the lake!

The game is played in a series of rounds, and your goal is to complete your sporting goal before time runs out - which is counted by your lesson deck. When you cannot draw lesson cards, the day – and game – ends.

A cooperative dungeon crawler for 1-6 players set in the fantasy world of "Doria".

You are heroes, mercenaries and vagabonds, drawn from far flung corners of the continent Doria, seeking adventure, glory and gold. The vastness of Doria teems with dungeons, towers and cellars crammed with monsters, treasures and ancient artifacts. Work together to survive terrible perils and escape the dungeons of Doria!

Dungeons of Doria is played without a game master. Select a quest and start exploring a dungeon. Either choose from standalone adventures you complete in one session or pick one of the four included campaigns continuing over multiple scenarios.

The Dungeons of Doria Initiative System allows each character to spend their initiative points on multiple actions such as moving, attacking, looting or repairing damaged equipment. The character or monster with the highest initiative value defines the next action. Each player must decide on what to do: Use several quick actions, one slower action or a combination - depending on the items equipped. Plan tactical fights, disarm traps and manage your inventory of loot.

Over 400 unique loot cards, 19 opponents each with their own abilities plus monster modifiers and 8 initial characters that can be completely customized as you wish.

535 is a Climbing/Shedding game for 2 to 6 Players. The game's deck is comprised of cards numbered 1-15, with cards of rank 6 and 10 missing. The deck contains multiple copies of each card, depending on player count (4 each at 2-4 players/5 each at 5+ players). In addition to a rank, each card has a point value, which depends on the rank’s strength. The object of the game is for players to be the first to play all of their cards to the table.

All-Terrain is an off-roading board game where players explore trails and obstacles while racing through a continuous map.

In All-Terrain, players become the driver for one of the unique off-road vehicles. Drivers begin by outfitting their 'rig' with a set number of over-landing add-ons to try and gain the best situational advantage. As drivers leave the garage, they'll need to strategize by plotting their course through the known environment and around other drivers.

Out on the trails, drivers and their vehicle capabilities will be tested on hidden obstacles and unexpected events throughout the map. Once an obstacle has been revealed, other drivers can use that knowledge to their advantage when planning their own routes.

To win the race, you must be the first to run a full lap through the world and a final reverse lap. May the best driver win!

In Birdie, play as a silly bird-golfer with a unique ability and jump on to the golf course!

Create your own terrains using brilliant modular tiles or play on over 18 different premade terrains. Select your clubs wisely or push your luck to complete the courses in the fewest strokes possible! Beware of sand pits, water ponds, and many other natural obstacles if you want to avoid any penalties!

On your turn, play a card from your hand or push your luck with the first card of the deck. Then, add any card with the same value to boost your stroke even further. Caddies will let you add another card to the mix, and wedges will help you get out of the sand. The higher the value of your stroke, the further your ball will go! With trees to bounce off your ball, hills to change where it lands, and other golfers messing around the course, each game creates its own story.

Choose the game length by playing 6, 9 or 18 holes and test your skills to elect the new champion!

Play with 4 others concurrents, in teams, or simply try to beat your own score in solitaire. Birdie offers a simple and quick gameplay that truly lives up to the experience of Golf.

You are a hotshot, rookie fighter pilot. You are looking to prove you have what it takes to be the best in the galaxy by being the first of your opponents to get 5 Kills and become an Intergalactic Ace.

In the simple, strategy/chance game, Intergalactic Ace, players compete to be the first to shoot down 5 enemy ships. Upgrade your ship to prepare for battle, take your chances in Dogfights against Enemy Cards, and go head-to-head with other players to steal their hard-earned Kills.

Each game comes with 6 beautiful laser-cut wooden spaceships to keep track of each players' stats and Kill count. Additionally, each game has 50 stat marker pegs, 32 kill markers, 50 cards, and 2 dice.

As forest developer, your role is to design new forest trails to improve the visitor experience and attract as many people as you can to come and enjoy the beautiful forest.

An engaging roll and write game for solo or simultaneous play. Choose a game sheet, pick up a pen and find some dice (or use our dice App) to get puzzling! A wonderful lunch break game to help your brain escape from the stresses of life.

Enjoy 2 modes of play - advanced mode utilises 'pre game map seeding' - in plain English, you will have a different game each time you play. Also look out for Event maps - fun themes and new game actions - see our final stretch goal!

WORLD AT WAR 85, VOLUME 2: BLOOD AND FURY

The Commander of the Soviet 3rd Shock Army swept his hand across the map in front of his regiment and battalion commanders, indicating the bridges across the Weser River: the first major obstacle to the Warsaw Pact invasion of northern West Germany.

BLOOD AND FURY is the second volume in The WORLD AT WAR 85 series of games of fast and furious platoon-level combat. Set in 1985, in an alternate history of World War III, when the Warsaw Pact armies storm across the border of East Germany in a powerful attempt to seize northern West Germany, Denmark, and the whole of Free Europe.

The WORLD AT WAR 85 system features a unique combat system that involves die rolls by both attacking units and defending units, which keeps both players engaged throughout the game. Die rolls are compared and hits applied quickly, as all the information you need to fight your units is on the counters. No combat results table is necessary. Initiative, formation activation, random turn length, close air support and air cover are all integrated smoothly.

Bloodstones is a fantasy wargame for one to five (up to six players if stretch goals are met) featuring four/six different races, each with their own specific powers. Each of the four/six races in Bloodstones has its own mix of units, represented by domino shape tiles. Some of these units will be unique to that race, such as Dragons to the Dragon Riders and Giants to the Hill Folk.

The aim of the game is to have the most victory points at the end of the game, which can be gained by building your own and raiding other players’ villages and by winning battles.

At the start of the game players will arrange their tiles into stacks. From these they draw a starting hand of nine. Players then decide where to place their Citadel and which tiles will be placed with it. The tiles are multi-use. When placed on the board they becomes units, the type indicated by the symbol in the centre. While in your hand they can be used to build other units, move units, improve your Combat Strength, build villages and raid villages.

The main part of the game proceeds with player turns. When it is your turn you can perform as many actions as you wish. However, some actions have restrictions as to when you can perform them.

After you have completed all of your actions you draw back to your hand size of six tiles. If you exhaust your stock of tiles then you shuffle your discarded ones to make a new draw stock. You also score Victory Points for villages you have on the board.

The game will end when each player has scored points a number of times. With two players this will be three times, for three or more players this will be two times.
